OK, so I'm moving to the Middle East today ...

Excited? Oh yes. I'm going to Jordan to spend nearly a year learning Arabic and immersing myself in the cradle of civilisation. The food, the landscapes, the culture, the history, the diving, the sunshine ... what more could an unattached girl with an appetite for adventure ask for?

Scared? Not really, I know I can do the new-country-new-culture-new-language-make-friends-and-discover thing, and I love it

Sad? Oh stacks, and there's the rub ... upping sticks and emigrating seemed like childs play ten years ago, but I'm finding it so much harder to pull myself away this time.

So even feeling so very very loved has the occasional downside ... but so worth it!
