I have considered joining in, and I have done it once before, but I'm afraid that in this heat I just can't face the long hours of headaches and feeling irritable. Not eating might be a better idea - after a week in the UK feasting on cooked breakfasts, I have become the lady that ate all the pies - but still not easy, and I'm just not in the right headspace this year. So I shall be joining the other expats instead in hiding in my office with a sandwich, head in the footspace of the car to sneak in a sip of water, and avoiding the streets in those couple of hours before sunset when people start getting REALLY crazy and in need of a cigarette ...
