Oman has a bit of a reputation as the quiet, traditional corner of the Gulf - although compared to the 'buzzing metropolis' (= ugly consumerism and concrete jungle) of Dubai, this is definitely a good thing!
Still, even I thought that this story on page 3 of a national newspaper made Oman sound pretty dull - it certainly won't be dragging me away from my crocheting ...
